May 12-22 Scorpius Dance Theater we are honored to create costumes for the CATWALK show with Scorpius for the second year in a row!! 4 costumes will be created for the "VERGING" act, our first costume is featured below:

March- 13-24th- Threading Hope and Highwire trip to Malawi, Africa to deliver donated quilts to Partners in Malawi, and art kits to Children of Blessings. 


January- Nomination for a 2011 Governor's Arts Award in the Artist Category. This year 30th anniversary, celebration April 12th.

July 2010 - Port au Prince, Haiti. I was able to travel with supplies from Highwire and Threading Hope into Haiti.  I taught art to children in the Pediatrics Unit of Medishare Hospital and delivered quilts to children and families in need throughout the area. May 1-In Washington D.C. attended a lovely wedding anniversary celebration at the home of Ambassador Raymond A. Joseph and Mrs. Lola Joseph.  I was honored to be invited to such an intimate occasion and to create the dress Mrs. Joseph!

April 29, 2010: Ce Ce Peniston – R&B singer.  Was able to spend some time with her and her “mom-ager” (mom whom is her manager), wonderfully driven women was a pleasure. They attended the Scorpius Dance VIP premier event.

April-May 2010: : CATWALK - original contemporary dance production by Scorpius Dance Theater, featuring costumes by dl-couture for the last act to Bolero!

Dec. 4, 2009: Took At the Studio C release party for 92.9 the Mountain, a radio station that supports the Tucson Community, this CD goes 100% to Charity which is what we love. So we got our CD with great bands, like Ryanhood on the live record and also got to see Parachute preform...very nice guys.


Nov. 5-13, 2009:  Took to exploration in Morocco and Western Sahara to look into where I could get involved in the schools and orphanages with Highwire and Threading Hope. Was a wonderful trip, pictured is an orphanage in LaAyoune.


October 25th, 2009:
Went for the 3 mile walk Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness, and supporting the American Cancer Society. There was a wonderful crowd and our dl-dolls Breast Cancer Awareness Bunny was there for the trek.



Sept. 21st, 2009: International Day of Peace, Threading Hope was honored this year to be the lead in the parade carrying the quilt that we donated and walked last year to the cause.  For more on IDOP and Threading Hope click here

January 26, 2008 - Las Vegas, Nevada.
I was invited to attend the Miss America Pageant, on a VIP pass, at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. I attended with VIP Mrs. Kristina Green and Nancy Rivard the Founder of AAI. As well as many other great people that I met who work with AAI from New York, Chicago, and California.

January 17-24, 2008 - Shanghai, China

As part of the Compassion Gala happening in New York in October, I was sent to China to buy a variety of fabrics to produce gowns for the auction.
The trip was a great experience...and very cold. It even snowed one day.
I went to the Dongjidu Lu fabric market, 3 floors with hundreds of booths of fabric. I was able to find pure silk, embroidered silk and Thai silk taffetas.
